The Pearl - a tiny grain of sand

While visiting my home on Chincoteague, my wife and I sign clams by the sea
Little did I realize that soon---rare beauty revealed to me

Momentarily I began to realize, what I was holding in my hand
Was a dot from out Lords blueprint, and part of His master plan

His creation is crowned with splendor, a thankful heart will always see
From this tiny grain of sand, a black pearl His gift to me

I have seen many pearls in my lifetime, all sizes large and small
But this special gift I have received, perfectly round, outshines them all

What will I do with this lovely pearl, on my shelf put back in its shell
To all that have a question,  its wonderful story I will tell
